Public consultations for pink line metro extension starting next month: report

By News Staff

The public consultations into the Montreal metro’s “pink line” expansion – a major campaign promise during Mayor Valérie Plante’s two election campaigns – will reportedly begin next month.

La Presse is reporting the public consultations, which were initially scheduled for this fall, will begin Jan. 16.

The consultation will reportedly explore seven different route options for the metro expansion.

As outlined during the mayoral campaigns, the pink link would link Montreal North, Saint-Leonard, Saint-Michel, downtown and Lachine on a 29-stop route.

The pink line would also connect with pre-existing lines.
