Silver Alert lifted after missing woman found ‘safe and sound’

The senior who was the subject of a Silver Alert Tuesday evening was found “safe and sound,” Quebec provincial police say.

The Sûreté du Québec says the woman was found in Saint-Denis-sur-Richelieu, less than an hour east of Montreal.

Police say she will be taken to hospital “to receive appropriate care.” The SQ is investigating.

The alert was lifted roughly 40 minutes after it was issued.
