As for Denis Coderre, who’s running as a candidate in the Quebec Liberal Party (PLQ), 55 per cent of respondents said they have a “negative opinion” of the former Montreal mayor. Amongst liberal voters, his approval rating sits at 30 per cent.
As for Pablo Rodriguez, also running as a candidate for the PLQ leadership, 37 per cent of respondents said they would vote for him.
According to the data, 26 per cent of those surveyed said they would vote for the PLQ if Rodriguez wins and 20 per cent of them would vote Liberal if Coderre won.
Meanwhile, Québec solidaire (QS) was down by one percentage point at 13 per cent and the Quebec Conservative Party sits in last at 11 per cent.
The Léger poll was conducted online among 1,010 eligible Quebec voters between Nov. 8 and 11. The poll noted that the maximum margin of error for a survey this size is ± 3.08%, 19 times out of 20.
