Montreal police announced two more suspects were arrested in connection with the May 2023 shooting death of Claudia Iacono, the daughter-in-law of a late mobster.
The suspects, who are 28 and 31 years old, were arrested Friday morning. They appeared at the Montreal courthouse and remain detained pending legal proceedings. Shaniqwa Parris, 31, is facing a charge of first-degree murder, according to a charge sheet. Kalial Nesfield, 28, is facing a manslaughter charge.
Iacono was shot and killed in the parking lot of her beauty salon in Côte-des-Neiges–NDG on May 16 — while driving her car.
These are the third and fourth arrests in this investigation.
The first arrest in this came in June 2023, when a 28-year-old was arrested near Toronto — at the request of the SPVM.
Then in August of that year, a 30-year-old man was arrested in Toronto as well. Both were charged with first-degree murder.
Iacono was the daughter-in-law of Montreal Mafia member Moreno Gallo, who was murdered a decade ago in Mexico.
