Montreal drivers can expect another road closure to start the new year at the Charles-De Gaulle Bridge beginning Jan. 10.
The Ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable says the closure will be to continue repair work that was started last year.
Starting at 9:30 p.m. on Jan. 10, the eastbound service road and entrance from the service road on Highway 40 will be completely closed until 6:30 a.m.
Additionally, the access ramp from Henri-Bourassa Boulevard East to the Highway 40 service road and the access ramp from Highway 40 at Boulevard du Tricentenaire to Highway 40 will be completely closed.
Starting an hour-and-a-half later, eastbound Highway 40 at exit 89 (R-138/Boul. du Tricentenaire/Rue Sherbrooke/Boul. Henri-Bourassa) will be completely closed until 6:30 a.m.
This also means that exit 92 (Gouin Blvd.) and exit 94 (R-344/Terrebonne/Ch. St-Charles) — both from Highway 40 — will be completely closed.
Following those initial closures, the Ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable says between 6:30 a.m. on Jan. 11 and 5 a.m. on Jan. 13, the left lane of eastbound Highway 40 will be closed between Gouin Boulevard East and Route 344 (Saint-Charles Road).
No westbound lanes will be closed during this time.
