A 15-year-old is in hospital after a tree fell on him in Ahuntsic Tuesday night amid a severe storm.
Montreal police say Urgences-santé received a call around 8 p.m., regarding a tree that broke due to high winds on Grande-Allée Blvd., near Henri-Bourassa.
Fire crews also responded to the scene and were able to free the teen.
He was taken to hospital in critical condition.

Wall of Air Canada hangar collapses
Tuesday night’s strong winds also caused an Air Canada hangar wall to collapse in St-Laurent. It’s a maintenance hanger.
The building is located on Trudeau Airport property, confirmed Nadia Benelfellah, Airport communications manager.
In an email to CityNews, Air Canada Media Relations writes, “During severe storms that affected Montreal on Tuesday evening, our main hangar sustained damage to an exterior wall. Thankfully, none of our employees were injured. Two aircraft in the hangar at the time were not damaged.”
Environment Canada reports winds of 87 km/h at the airport between 7:50 p.m. and 8 p.m.
