Santé Québec launches tool to monitor state of health network

Santé Québec has launched a new online dashboard that allows Quebecers to monitor the state of the province’s public healthcare system.
The platform provides 25 key indicators across various facilities, showing whether each is in a “green,” “yellow,” or “red” status.
This new tool, available to the public as of Tuesday, is separate than the existing dashboard from the Ministry of Health and Social Services (MSSS). Santé Québec created its own now that the government corporation manages the operations of the public healthcare network.

“Santé Québec is taking concrete action to promote transparency and continuous improvement in the healthcare system,” said Quebec’s Health Minister, Christian Dubé in a post to X.
“With its new public dashboard, the organization makes 25 performance indicators available per facility, allowing the public to monitor the healthcare system’s progress,” he added. “This clear tool illustrates the desire to provide a more transparent, measurable, human, and efficient system.”
The dashboard shows key data, such as wait times and hospital bed occupancy, and this is displayed by service location.
The colour-coded status indicates:
- Green for improvement
- Yellow for stability
- Red for deterioration
New data will reportedly be added by April 2026.
