Four 15-year-olds arrested in connection with fatal Walmart stabbing in Montreal North

Montreal police (SPVM) have arrested four 15-year-old boys in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 22-year-old man inside a Walmart in Montreal North.

The arrests were made Wednesday evening, just over 24 hours after Geovani Ray Robbins was killed during an altercation inside the store near Henri-Bourassa and Lacordaire boulevards. The suspects were expected to appear in Youth Court on Thursday on murder-related charges.

Police say the victim was stabbed in the upper body with a sharp object in the baby section of the store on Tuesday afternoon. He was transported to hospital, where he later died.

Investigators also carried out searches at homes in Montreal North and St-Leonard. The four suspects are believed to be students at a high school located near the scene of the stabbing.

Robbins had just been released from prison, after pleading guilty to stealing from a Maxi in Longueuil and assaulting a woman during the same event.

The homicide is the ninth recorded on Montreal police territory in 2026.
