Sunshine returns as warm summer weather settles into Montreal

After a cloudy start to the day, Montreal is expected to see improving weather heading into the weekend, with sunshine and warmer temperatures on the way.

Wednesday will remain mainly cloudy with a 40 per cent chance of showers and southwest winds reaching 30 km/h, gusting to 50 km/h. The daytime high will reach 21 Celsius before skies begin to clear overnight.

Sunny conditions return Thursday, with a high of 24 C and a humidex of 26. A brisk west wind, gusting to 40 km/h, will keep temperatures comfortable.

The warming trend continues into the weekend, with abundant sunshine and highs of 27 C on Friday and 28 C on Saturday. Sunday will bring a mix of sun and cloud, with a high of 26 C, capping off a stretch of pleasant summer weather across Montreal.
