MONTREAL (CITYNEWS) – Police across Quebec are holding a week-long operation aiming to limit speeding and careless driving in the province.
The significant decrease in traffic on Quebec highways due to the COVID-19 pandemic has given some drivers the need for speed. Police have noticed an increase in speeding incidents and risky driving over the last few months.
With the province now taking measures to resume normal activities, a lot more drivers and construction workers will be on the road. The police’s anti-speed operation aims to nip any dangerous driving in the bud.
The operation began Friday and will continue until June 11.
