Montreal police investigate arson in psychiatric hospital

Montreal police (SPVM) are investigating a suspicious fire at the Albert-Prévost psychiatric hospital in the Ahuntsic–Cartierville borough early Wednesday morning.
Police received a 911 call around 12:30 a.m. about a person setting fire to the building located near Gouin West Boulevard and Crevier Street, according to Johany Charland, spokesperson for SPVM.
When officers arrived, firefighters were already at the scene working to contain the fire. The blaze was quickly brought under control.
Charland said damage to the building was minor and no injuries were reported.
The suspect fled before police arrived. No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
