Inmate dies after altercation at Donnacona Penitentiary

An inmate in his 30s died Wednesday following an altercation between several detainees at the Donnacona Penitentiary.
The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) says it was notified of the fight at 7:30 p.m., and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The SQ is looking into the causes and circumstances surrounding the incident.
Forensic technicians are on site to analyze the scene.
Laurie Avoine, a spokesperson with the SQ, insists that, to protect the integrity of the investigation, no further information would be released.
