Esteriore Brothers surprise Montreal students with special visit & invite to perform together

"One of my favorite groups,” says grade five student, Raffaele Dachille when the Esteriore Brothers surprised Montreal's Pierre de Coubertin Elementary School after their choir sent a video asking them to visit someday. Pamela Pagano reports.

Choir students at Pierre de Coubertin Elementary School in Montreal’s Saint-Leonard sent a video invitation to the Esteriore Brothers — a popular Italian group made up of four real-life brothers — asking them to come sing with them someday.

To their surprise, that day came on Tuesday morning, when the Esteriore Brothers showed up at the school for a special visit!

“I was really happy because they’re one of my favorite groups,” said grade five student, Raffaele Dachille. “I was really excited.”

“Amazing, we are overwhelmed,” said Gabriele Esteriore. “Our hearts is full with joy and love.”

This visit, part of their press tour ahead of their first ever performance at Place des Arts happening on Sept. 16th – which will mark their third ever concert in Montreal since making their Canadian debut in the city last summer.

“The love and the energy they have inside is just something that we can’t explain,” said Amadeo Esteriore about surprising the students. “For me this was the best thing ever that happened since we started.”

Back in 2023, one of the brother’s spontaneous videos vent viral – and they rose to fame.

Today, their social media content has amassed over 1 billion views and 3 million followers.

And for these fans, well this visit wasn’t the only surprise.

Announced by the brothers on Tuesday, the choir students will be joining them on stage at the concert in September.

“Yay! We did it! They are going to be so excited,” said Maria Concetta Alongi, Music Teacher at Pierre De Coubertin Elementary School.

“I believe that they will represent the Italian culture, the Italo-Canada culture along with the Esteriore Brothers,” she added. “It’s going to be a super experience for them.”

“I’m excited to perform with them because they’re really good singers,” said grade five student, Elisa Tortorici. “Their voices are really good.”

“I’m really happy because it’s my first time going to a concert,” added Dachille. “I’m going to be backstage.”

“This emotion, incredible,” said Mimmo Esteriore. “I say thank you for organizing, for giving me this power.”

Power that is truly felt in their music.
